Working on the Listen To Our Voices program was supposed to be a short-term commitment, but it became a life-long journey. I'm so fortunate to be able to impact the lives of children and young adults, and help them to strive for and achieve a higher purpose in life.

Foundation History

  1. 1994 - Joelle Goode works on a youth violence story during her Master's program and her life changes forever.
  2. 1995 - After the completion of her Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Affairs from American University, Joelle lands a dream job with NBC News.
  3. 1996 -Barely months into her new position, a new wave of school violence begins with the perpetrators becoming younger and younger including a five-year old.
